Another nice
day, lots of cu's popping early and a moderate
northwest wind, a short task (50km ) to Kellerberin
was called because its the last day. Base was over
7000ft, again the early leavers did best, the paddock
becoming shadowed over later in the day.
Dave Wellington made goal quickest in 40 minutes.
Gavin Nicholls and Gordon McCabe were equal second. 9
pilots made goal and Murray Wood was only 1km short.
Overall Dave Wellington won the comp from Paul
Blachford (also first kingposted and first novice)
with James Freeman in third.
Dick Speed's Offspring won the teams event by a big
margin from Goldfields Dust Devils and CMF. Teams
without a novice pilot didn't stand a chance.
